The cause of death was bulbar paralysis & cardiac failure; certified by P McLaren MB.2,1 Thomas Elder brother-in-law of John Erskine on 12 December 1942.1 He was educated on 12 December 1942 at 20 Bonaly Road, Edinburgh, .1 He died after 12 December 1942.1
