It seems that she had an attack of paralysis some time ago, and since them has been unable to do anything. Her husband, who is a night watchman, left her in bed alone about five o'clock on the previous evening, and about two o'clock on Saturday morning the neighbours were attracted to the house by hearing moans proceeding therefrom, and a strong smell of burning. Some of them got out of bed and went into the house, where they found deceased on the floor with her clothes on fire. They speedily extinguished the flames, but she was found to have been severely scorched. Every remedy which could be thought of was applied, but, after lingering on in great agony, death ended her sufferings about half-past nine o'clock the same eveining. on 14 December 1867 at Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, .11 Andrew Young was a hammerman on 14 December 1867 at Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, .12 His wife Margaret died on 14 December 1867 at Chapelton, Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, ; at 9.50pm. The cause of death was severe burns from fire (20 hours) certified by John Turnbull, Surgeon and registered by her husband Andrew.8,13,12 Andrew Young was a dye work labourer on 3 April 1871 at Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, .13 He was listed in the 1871 census at Silverbanks, Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, ,, living in 8 rooms.13 As of 3 April 1881, Andrew Young was also known as Andrew M Young.14 He was a hammerman on 3 April 1881.14 He was listed in the 1881 census at 9 Barrack Street, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, .14 As of before 14 June 1886, Andrew Young was also known as Andrew Millar Young.8 He was a coal miner before 14 June 1886.8 He died on 14 June 1886 at Combination Poorhouse, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, , at age 77; at 1.00 pm. The cause of death was paralysis which had lasted 2 years, certified by James Loudon MD and registered by his son Robert.8
